Dear Friends of ChoHo,

A lot of wow coming up. Let’s divide all wow into three parts.

1. The build for the Bowls Project is up and running. See pre-build pictures above. You can see video here: thebowls.blogspot.com. We’ve been at American Steel working on the seismic isolation system, and we move to YBCA tomorrow to get the plinth up. WE NEED HELP. This Friday 6/11 we need some folks to lift lumber, next Monday 6/14 we need a swarm of folks to lift the plinth. It doesn’t take much time–30 minutes maybe– but it does take a lot of bodies. We can’t use a forklift or crane on site, it’s all human powered. If you can lift 50 pounds, contact us: wrangler@charminghostess.us

2. Thanks to all the folks who were able to donate to us during our Big Ask. It has helped so much! If you meant to donate and just haven’t gotten around to it, this would be a good time. You can do it here: The Ask

3. Tonight Charming Hostess is doing an informal lecture/demo on The Bowls Project–the last event before we are at YBCA for the rest of the summer. I’ll be talking about the Babylonian Jewish amulet texts that the project is based on, and we will play some of the music. So if you want to hear more about late-antique Babylonian sex and ritual in a relaxed context where you can ask lots of questions, this is your chance. It is a mellow environment, and there is usually at least one wacky personality there. So at least some amusement guaranteed.
