Jewlia has officiated of interfaith wedding & commitment ceremonies. For mixed-faith couples, she conducts a personalized wedding service unique to each couple, often interspersed with lines of Hebrew, and using text, song, poems, and readings. Traditional Jewish practices such as the sharing of wine by bride and groom and the subsequent breaking of the wine glass, the use of the wedding canopy (Chupah), wedding contract (Ketubah), and the exchange of vows and rings are frequently included. Interfaith couples often request that the ceremony include the lighting of the Unity Candle, symbolically merging both families into one.
